SOLO
If you used Solo on your last roll, you cannot receive PP's/Assets from other players until you roll again using either a Buddy or Team die. Other players cannot use healing SFX or Recovery Actions on a player who last rolled using Solo. Heroes who last rolled using Solo cannot be targeted with the Area Attack SFX. If you are Stressed Out after using Solo on your last roll, your character will almost certainly spend the next Transition Scene being unconscious, captive, or otherwise separated from the remaining players.
Tl;dr: Going Solo means your hero is refusing aid or using tactics that make them unable to receive aid from others.

BUDDY
If you used Buddy on your last roll, you can receive 1 PP and 1 Asset per roll from a chosen player in the Scene. Your Buddy can change between rolls, but you may only have one Buddy per roll. During an Action Scene, only that player's declared Buddy may use healing SFX or Recovery Actions on a player who last rolled using Buddy. This limit does not apply during Transition Scenes. If you are Stressed Out after using Buddy on your last roll, your last Buddy can step back your Stress by choosing to take d6 Stress of that type.
Tl;dr: Having a Buddy means your hero is cooperating with just one chosen friend or partner, as opposed to an entire team.

TEAM
If you used Team on your last roll, you can receive 1 PP and 1 Asset per roll from other players in the Scene. The PP and Asset may come from different players. During an Action Scene, players are not limited in using healing SFX or Recovery Actions on a player who last rolled using Team. If you are Stressed Out after using Team on your last roll, you may spend 1 PP to eliminate a Doom Pool die equal or smaller to the die that stressed you out.
Tl;dr: Being Team means you are working with other heroes toward a common goal, and facing each success/failure as a unit.
